Company History |

D.A.D. Manufacturing, Inc. was incorporated
on November 1, 1980 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa,
with the goal of providing the highest
quality fabricated sheet metal products to
local industries. To accommodate the
Company’s early rapid growth, D.A.D. moved
its operations into a new facility in nearby
Hiawatha, Iowa in 1984. Two years later, the
site was expanded.
In 1990 Tom Penaluna bought controlling
interest in D.A.D.
Since then, the operations have
expanded into a second facility located in
Lisbon, Iowa. |

Engineering
|
|
Engineering uses AutoCAD, Solid Works, and
Global Shop to convert customer blueprints
into shop packet documents. These
state-of-the-art production design and
management programs ensure that production
proceeds at maximum
efficiency with close attention to customer
specifications while minimizing errors and
waste. |

Fabrication |
|
Fabrication involves using a mix of
high-tech metal working machinery to shear,
laser cut, punch, and form metal products
such as sheet metal, steel tube, flat bar,
angle, rods and fittings. Much
of D.A.D.’s production is done for customers
in the pharmaceutical equipment, industrial
food processing equipment, wind power,
appliance, industrial equipment,
construction equipment and automotive
equipment industries. Many of the Company’s
customers seek D.A.D. out specifically
because it is capable of providing the
processes and products that each industry
specifically demands. |

Certified
welding |
| Many tank
and pressure vessel fabrications require
certified welds. D.A.D offers TIG and MIG
certified welding to 12 bar. |

| Finishing
options |
| Following
mechanical accuracy and integrity, aesthetic
beauty is the next most important quality of
our fabrications. For stainless steel, we
offer various blasting and polishing options
up to a #8 sanitary mirror finish. We have
full time polishers to accommodate your
quick turn requirements. Powder coating is
also offered through a strategic alliance |
| Assembly |
| Rounding out
our service offering, we assemble purchased
components into our fabrications forming a
completed assembly. |
